Lorne
Adrain, author of The Most Important Thing I Know series is a
graduate of Harvard Business School and the University of Rhode
Island. He leads a national estate planning, investments and executive
benefits business in Providence, RI and is involved in numerous community
and charitable endeavors.
Lorne is the founder of KindMark, a company whose mission is to increase the volume, quality and
effectiveness of philanthropy and service using the power of the internet
- creating new relationships and connections between people and needs
across the street and around the globe. Lorne is founder of VisionRI.org,
an internet-based volunteer network for the State of Rhode Island, founder
of RACE for Quality of Management and the Rhode Island State Quality
Awards program, former President of Rhode Island Special Olympics, former
President of the University of Rhode Island Alumni Association, recipient
of the Northwestern Mutual Life award as 'Most Exceptional Volunteer"
in the USA and a contributor to numerous other community needs.
He lives in Providence, Rhode Island with his wife, novelist Ann Hood
and their children Ariane, Sam and Grace.
